Job Summary

The Organisation

We are currently seeking an experienced and experience Finance Manager/Financial Controller for our client, a global leader in the Technology sector. The Opportunity

The Finance Manager/Financial Controller ensures financial accuracy, tax compliance, and statutory reporting while managing audits, risks, and cash flow. This hands-on role requires strong accounting expertise and stakeholder collaboration.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Own legal entity P&L, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee accounting functions, ensuring timely monthly, half-yearly, and annual close processes.
  • Review accounting policy changes, assessing statutory and tax implications before implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate statutory and tax processes, reducing manual workload.
  • Manage statutory and tax risks, escalating as per company policy.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including withholding tax, payroll tax, and fringe benefits tax.
  • Oversee external audits, liaising with tax authorities and government agencies.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial reporting obligations.
  • Maintain and optimize relationships with external advisors and shared service providers.

Requirements    

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or tax compliance.
  • Degree in finance, business, or accounting.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Wishlist (Ideal but Not Mandatory)

  • Experience in large, multinational, or listed corporations.
  • Big Four audit background.
  • Exposure to tech industry clients.
  • Experience managing small teams (2–3 people).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives.
