About our client:

Our Federal Government client is embarking on a Data and Analytics Ecosystem Program aiming to modernise their data and analytics environment, practices and analytical toolsets across the Institute with a business led, benefits-first approach to drive our modernisation and transformation vision.

About the role:

The Program Manager will lead and manage the delivery of the program from initiation through to closure in collaboration with business areas, with a focus on business benefits led delivery. You will lead the delivery of the core data and analytics platform for the ecosystem, working closely with project managers, who will be responsible for delivery of other capabilities in our ecosystem.

To succeed in this role, you will have an excellent track record of delivering complex programs, ideally in a data and analytics context or similar environment. You will be a great communicator, and team player focused on driving a collaborative result focused culture internally and externally.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Driving and managing a program of work, delivering the core data and analytics platform and overseeing key projects to ensure the delivery of outcomes and business benefits, while managing scope boundaries, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Establishing and leading teams across various workstreams to ensure seamless execution and achievement of program goals ensuring they are delivered into service.
  • Proactively identifying and driving resolution of dependencies, risks and issues across business, technology and vendor work streams to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes and benefits. Communicating impact of dependencies on wider enterprise roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Being hands-on, when necessary, actively participating in tasks to ensure project milestones are met and supporting the team in completing critical tasks.
  • Developing and providing advice on relevant program governance, quality assurance and documentation to senior executives, program board and key stakeholders.
  • Effectively liaising and negotiating with relevant stakeholders internally and externally, overcoming obstacles to delivery through collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation.
  • Leading, and managing procurements, tenders, and establishing and managing complex contracts resulting from procurement as they relate to program and project delivery.

Key skills include:

To succeed in this role, you will have an excellent track record of delivering complex programs, ideally in a data and analytics context or similar environment. You will be a great communicator, and team player focused on driving a collaborative result focused culture between business, technology, external stakeholders and vendors. You will ideally have at least 5+ years’ experience in leading and managing the delivery of complex programs.
